What The Pandemic Taught Us About Teachers

(AmericanProsperity.com) – Teachers are an integral part of any society. They provide future generations with resources, stories, culture, knowledge, and history, which helps to propel them on a successful path later in life`. But, beyond this, teachers also support their student’s emotional and physical well-being. In the past nine months, teachers have risen above and beyond their call of duty.

Educators were thrust into virtual environments to navigate socially-distanced classrooms this year. They quickly adapted to these changing times. With this, many are dealing with their children, quite literally, in 20 places at once. This is not remotely easy.

One elementary school in Kentucky showed just how far their teachers were willing to go for their students:

As teachers find new ways to encourage learning during lockdowns, they do it while some parents peer over their children’s shoulders during class, putting lots of pressure on the educators. Meanwhile, other students receive no support at home due to their guardians’ work requirements. This is all happening while teachers have their own families and lives to look after as well.

All in all, the COVID-19 pandemic has shown us that teachers are true heroes, and they deserve all of our appreciation. So, thank you to all of our educators and their support personnel.
