(AmericanProsperity.com) – A functional government starts when its people give it power through a free and fair election. But, many dictators hope to rig these elections and destroy democracy, including Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro. President Donald Trump’s administration, though, just imposed sanctions on the Venezuelan company that allegedly helped Maduro take control.
On Friday, December 18, the State Department released a statement about new sanctions put on Ex-Cle Soluciones Biométricas C.A. (Ex-Cle C.A.) and two of its executives. The company allegedly helped Maduro win the December 6 election in Venezuela.
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo shared the news:
The U.S. is sanctioning Venezuelan biometrics company Ex-Cle C.A. and two of its representatives for their support of the illegitimate Maduro regime’s December 6th fraudulent elections. Those who seek to undermine free and fair elections in Venezuela must be held accountable.

Ex-Cle C.A. provided both hardware and software for the election process and had contracts worth millions of dollars with Maduro and his administration. The company purchased the voting machines from China, routed the payment through Russia, and shipped the machines through Iran.
The machines’ chain of custody is incriminating in itself, allowing such major corrupt world powers to meddle with the machines. Thankfully, the Trump administration is committed to taking election fraud seriously, both on our shores and abroad.
