(AmericanProsperity.com) – The battle between Los Angeles County and Grace Community Church began when the church filed a lawsuit on August 14. Now, the fight is heating up as the two continue to grapple over religious freedoms, the state’s shutdown order, and county fines. This latest move by the city puts an undue burden on church attendees.
On August 28, The Department of Public Works gave Grace Community Church a 30-day Notice to Terminate Rental Agreement. The house of worship has leased part of their parking lot from the city for over 45 years and was given no reason for their lease termination other than “the District is exercising its right to terminate.”
This bold response from Los Angeles prompted many to speak out against it, including Franklin Graham, the President of Samaritan’s Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association:
Eviction? In their latest abuse of authority, Los Angeles County said that @GraceComChurch will be evicted from a piece of land they've used for a parking lot for 45 yrs—if the congregation continues to meet in person. This is targeted discrimination. https://t.co/cwerqa0fXA

As California continues to battle COVID-19, it’s constricting both the freedom to assemble and exercise religion. It’s vital that Americans act to preserve the US Constitution and the rights it promises us.
