(AmericanProsperity.com) – The debate over the efficacy of Ivermectin for treating COVID-19 is hotly debated in both medical and political circles. In Ohio, the disagreement over its use made it to court when a judge ruled that a previous judge could not force a local hospital to provide the treatment to its patients, even if the patient has a prescription for it.
On Monday, September 6, Hamilton County Common Pleas Judge Michael Oster Jr. reversed an August 23 ruling by a Butler County judge who ordered an Ohio hospital to administer Ivermectin to a patient.
This ruling came after Julie Smith sought legal assistance when West Chester Hospital refused to administer the drug to her husband, who struggled to recover from COVID-19. Mrs. Smith did obtain an Ivermectin prescription for her husband from an Ohio doctor who did not have a connection with the hospital.

The latest ruling stated that “medical and scientific communities do not support the use of Ivermectin as a treatment for COVID-19,” thus, the previous judge could not force a hospital to administer the drug against their treatment policies. Cases like this will likely continue popping up around the nation as Americans fight for their loved ones’ health and medical freedom during this pandemic.
