(AmericanProsperity.com) – On Monday, October 26, police were called to the Cobbs Creek neighborhood in West Philadelphia. During the altercation, police shot and killed Walter Wallace Jr., a black man who was wielding a knife and approaching them. Riots and looting erupted in response to his death.
The Officer Involved Shooting Investigation (OISI) Unit of the Philadelphia Police Department (PPD) will conduct the investigation of Wallace’s death. Mayor Jim Kenney and Commissioner Danielle Outlaw released a joint statement, promising to address the “many unanswered questions” with a “speedy and transparent resolution.”
Even with the affirmation that the PPD will conduct a thorough investigation, riots and looting occurred.
