(AmericanProsperity.com) – In most congressional races these days, multiple conservative candidates vie for former President Donald Trump’s support. In North Carolina, one Senate hopeful just received that “complete and total endorsement” during the GOP state convention after edging out two other candidates seeking Trump’s backing.
On Saturday, June 5, the former president endorsed Representative Ted Budd (R-NC) for North Carolina’s 2022 Senate race. Budd hopes to replace outgoing Senator Richard Burr (R), and he earned the endorsement even with former Representative Mark Walk and former governor Pat McCrory also hoping for Trump’s support.
The East Carolinian shared the news on Twitter:
Former President Donald Trump, in his first major appearance since he left office, came to Greenville, North Carolina yesterday where he put down the current administration and endorsed @RepTedBudd for the Senate GOP primary.https://t.co/sFNHzHZjvA

Representative Budd currently serves North Carolina’s 13th district, and voters can see how he’s consistently fought for small business and American taxpayers for years. After growing up on a farm and running multiple businesses, Budd continues to operate a shooting range and is a staunch protector of 2A rights. He calls himself a “Liberal agenda crusher,” and now with President Trump’s endorsement, he can hopefully do just that.
