DACA Spared by Supreme Court — For Now

(AmericanProsperity.com) – On June 18, the Supreme Court ruled in a 5-4 decision that the current administration did not give enough explanation before ending the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). Thus, DACA will continue for now. The opinion was delivered by Chief Justice John Roberts.

Roberts clearly states that every justice agrees the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has the right to rescind DACA. However, this case was in regard to deciding whether or not the DHS followed correct procedures when they did so. The 5-4 ruling said the agency did not.

So, the Trump administration can continue to fight DACA if they follow the thorough requirements laid out in the Administrative Procedure Act (ACA). Trump, in response to the decision, has called for “NEW JUSTICES” in order to help protect Second Amendment rights and other important issues.

As the battle for DACA continues on, it’s likely President Trump will follow the correct legal channels in order to end DACA once and for all. In doing this, he’ll continue to protect America’s future and our rights as citizens.
