(AmericanProsperity.com) – The power battle between President Joe Biden and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) has been quite public, with each leader accusing the other of bad policy and playing politics. Throughout all the attacks, DeSantis has stood up to protect his citizens and their freedoms. But, a recent mistake by the CDC put Florida into some bad light, making many wonder if the Biden administration was behind it, trying to sabotage the Florida governor in a new way.
On Monday, August 9, the CDC published positive COVID-19 test data from all 50 states, something that it routinely does to start the week. However, it claimed that Florida saw 28,317 new cases on Sunday, August 8, and 28,316 cases the day before. According to the Florida Department of Health, these numbers are false. The agency shared the actual numbers on Twitter:
The daily case counts for Florida currently posted on the CDC COVID Tracker are incorrect. The current listing states 28,317.
The accurate data are as follows:
Friday, August 6: 21,500
Saturday August 7: 19,567
Sunday, August 8: 15,319
The 3 day average: 18,795

As of Tuesday, August 10, the CDC has not corrected the numbers on its site. The difference in these numbers is enormous, and it has real consequences for all those involved.
Whether this was an accident or an intentional attack, it not only hurt Florida but also disgraced the CDC even more. It’s high time the federal agency double-checked its work on guidelines, scientific facts, ethics and hard data before publishing anything else. Only when it’s able to consistently publish accurate data and evidence that lines up with science and the truth will it regain any trust from Americans.
