(AmericanProsperity.com) – President Donald Trump announced he tested positive for coronavirus early on the morning of Friday, October 2. Afterward, many questions arose about his campaign and what the coming weeks would look like. His opponent, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, is up for the next debate — if Trump is.
Biden’s deputy campaign manager, Kate Bedingfield, confirmed he would attend the October 15 presidential debate in Miami if Trump is well enough to participate and the Commission on Presidential Debates ensures proper safety precautions are taken. The interview is shown here with ABC’s “This Week:”
Biden deputy campaign manager Kate Bedingfield says with “safety” precautions put in place, Biden will participate in next debate: “We send President Trump our best. We hope that he is well and able to debate. If he is, Joe Biden will certainly be there.” https://t.co/lCW47doOHk pic.twitter.com/ptXgXxr10k

She also confirmed Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA) will participate in the Vice Presidential debate with Mike Pence in Salt Lake City on Wednesday, October 7. The candidates will now be 12 feet apart instead of the previously agreed-upon 7 feet. Other safety precautions, like mask-wearing, will be enforced.
Even through his COVID-19 diagnosis, the president is unwavering. On Friday, he called Republican Senators, encouraging them to continue with the SCOTUS confirmation hearing of Amy Coney Barrett. He also went on a short SUV ride to wave to supporters outside of Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Sunday.
As Trump seems to make a quick recovery, the race for the next presidency will push on.
