Why The UN Has Gone On A Crusade Against The Words “Husband” And “Wife”
(Tea Party 247) – The United Nations has issued a tweet declaring that it’s wrong to use terms like “boyfriend,” “girlfriend,” “husband,” and “wife.”
To “help create a more equal world.”
Wait…so what about people who can choose their own gender? Are they not allowed to choose the gender-specific terms that go with their “gender identity”?
Nothing these people say makes sense.
“What you say matters. Help create a more equal world by using gender-neutral language if you’re unsure about someone’s gender or are referring to a group,” the tweet says.
It then helpfully lists a number of more politically correct terms.
Apparently, in order to make a more equal world, we need to strike the horrible words like mankind, chairman, congressman, policeman, landlord, boyfriend/girlfriend, manpower, maiden name, fireman, and husband/wife.
What you say matters.

Of course, considering this is an organization of faceless globalist bureaucrats, many social media users were not so thrilled to be lectured like this.
“Stop trying to control people’s language. It’s creepy and unnecessary,” said Lucy Harris.

“Are we allowed to say son or daughter or will my spouse and I get a visit from a police officer?” asked another.

“Are we still allowed to say manhole cover?” joked another.
